Customer Care Ambassador Service

The Calgary Airport Authority, which operates the Calgary International Airport, has selected Concorde Airport Services to provide its new Customer Care Ambassador Service.  The Ambassador Program’s purpose is to provide an exceptional passenger experience from curbside to gate.  Customer Care Ambassadors will deliver the following services:

· Curbside:  Ensuring quick, efficient, safe, and friendly pick up and drop off of passengers from both private and commercial vehicles.

· Automated Border Clearance:  Assisting and guiding arriving passengers through the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) area.

· Automated Passport Control:  Directing departing passengers through the US Customs and Border protection (US CBP) area.

· Connections Centres:  Assisting passengers who are connecting between international, domestic, and transborder flights.

· YYC LINK:  Operating and dispatching the scheduled YYC LINK compact transit system vehicles which will carry  up to 10 passengers between the various concourses in the international and domestic terminals.

· Information Services:  Providing customer service, tourism, and general information at information service desks located in both the international and domestic terminals.

Ambassadors are employed by Concorde Airport Services.  Shift work will be involved, as passengers travel throughout the day and night.  Ambassadors are required to wear a uniform, which will be provided.

The Calgary International Airport (YYC) is Canada’s third largest airport – welcoming 15.48 million passengers in 2015.  Over the past 20 years, it has more than doubled in size and passenger volume.  In order to meet the needs of this growth, the Calgary Airport Authority has undertaken an over $2 billion expansion program, the largest and most ambitious expansion in its history.

The new International Terminal at YYC, opening in 2016, will add an additional two million square feet of terminal space, 24 more gates, a range of streamlined customs and connections services, and advanced passenger screening, boarding and baggage handling processes for passengers travelling to the United States or internationally.  Enhanced self-service check-in options and the first Call to Gate boarding process in North America will be new features for airport users.  Customer Care Ambassadors will play a critical role helping passengers and other airport users navigate the new terminal and its processes, and supporting passenger movement between the existing terminal and the new international facility, in a friendly, professional and caring manner.  The Customer Care Ambassadors will join the Calgary International Airport’s renowned White Hat Volunteers and the dedicated staff and partners at the airport in providing a passenger experience that is second to none.

Concorde Airport Services has been working with the Calgary Airport Authority since 1993.  We are honored to add Customer Care Ambassador Services to our existing portfolio of services which include Technical, HVAC, Baggage, and Janitorial.
